Among the most scenic geosites is the panoramic viewpoint of Poggiorsini, a layered landscape that exhibits the sinuous waves of the Murgia ridge on one side and the reliefs of the valleys along the Roviniero stream on the other.
Looking out from the Belvedere over the Bradanica Trench, you can notice the rich geodiversity of the Premurge, the different rock substrates consisting of calcarenites, limestones and clays. A breathtaking landscape, favorable for biodiversity and agricultural production.
With its 1,400 inhabitants, Poggiorsini is the smallest municipality in the Alta Murgia National Park, inhabited since Neolithic period thanks to one of the few perennial water springs in the Murgia.
